Thailand Phuket (pronounced "POUKETT), nicknamed" The Pearl of the South ",
is the largest island of the Kingdom.
Located off the South West coast in the Andaman Sea, its length is 48 km from north to south, its width of 21 km from East to West.
It has incredibly diverse terrain: rocky headlands, sandy beaches, limestone cliffs, forested hills, small estuaries and lagoons, as well as the lush tropical vegetation.
Mountains and valleys alternate. The main mountain range along the west coast and covering about 70% of its area.
The highest peak, Mai Tao Sip Song, measuring 529 meters. The remaining 30% of the island are flat, especially in Central and Eastern .
